We are excited to announce the start of something special in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley.
The Nant Whisky School.
Over the course of three weeks students can take a comprehensive night class each week featuring lessons on:
- The distillation process and how steps affect the outcome from the type or barley used, the water, to the shape and materials of the still.
- Cask sizes and timber types and how they affect the maturation of whisky.
- A blending workshop so you can see how different flavours can contribute to and balance out the profile of whisky.
This in depth training is ideal for hospitality and retail staff as well as whisky enthusiasts looking to get an inside look at how whisky is made, all the way from barely to bottle.

The current bar is moving to the larger venue (with full kitchen) to No. 2 Edward Street and the Emporium venue will be undergoing renovations to accommodate the new classroom style training areas.
All locker owners’ bottles at Emporium will be safely transported and housed at the 2 Edward Street venue from now on.
The Brisbane bar has undergone numerous changes over the last six months including doubling its size by incorporating the property next door, and recently being renovated to include a full kitchen.
A new whisky matched winter menu has been specially prepared for it’s opening. Please come and visit us at the new venue soon.
